While Eugenio Franceschini is a well-known television star in Italy today, he started as a theatre artist in his parents’ company. Eugenio’s father, a theatre actor, trained his son since he was little for a career in theatre. His parents owned a theatre company called ‘Viva Opera Circus’, where the young Eugenio took on several lead roles in various productions.

Eugenio Franceschini made his big screen debut in 2012 with Bianca come il latte, rossa come il sangue. Sorry ladies, Eugenio Franceschini is off the market. The actor reportedly met his partner on the sets of the series Medici. In January 2018, the duo finally welcomed a baby boy, glimpses of whom the actor often shares via his Instagram handle.

Eugenio Franceschini plays Lily Collins’ love interest Marcello in Emily in Paris 

After spreading his charm in the Italian industry, Eugenio is finally ready to lure the masses with Emily in Paris. As we witnessed in the Emily in Paris season 4 finale trailer, Collins’ character seems to have had enough of the relationship drama with Grabriel (Lucas Bravo) and finally musters the courage to do something ‘Un-Emily’ as Mindy (Ashley Park) puts it. Then, the next thing we know is she’s in Rome with a potential new beau (enter Eugenio Franceschini) Marcello. Emily can be seen riding happily around the city on the back of his Vespa, trading champagne for Aperol spitzes in her new European escapade.

Meanwhile, the second instalment of Emily in Paris season 4 will premiere on Netflix on September 12.
