Jason Kelce helped make the Appalachian State University homecoming Football Game extra special.
Kelce, 37, made a surprise appearance at the Saturday, November 23, Game in Boone, North Carolina, which was played against James Madison University. The retired NFL center was seen greeting the crowd from the field during halftime, wearing a spirited pair of yellow-and-black overalls in the school’s colors with an App State beanie.
Kelce also participated in tailgate festivities, where he was photographed busting out karaoke to Bonnie Tyler’s “Total Eclipse of the Heart.”
“And I need you now tonight / And I need you more than ever,” Kelce belted the chorus. “And if you only hold me tight / We’ll be holding on forever / And we’ll only be making it right / ‘Cause we’ll never be wrong / Together, we can take it to the end of the line / Your love is like a shadow on me all of the time.”
Kelce didn’t miss a beat or a lyric throughout the entire song, earning applause from his fellow tailgaters.
Kelce rose to fame as a Football player for the Philadelphia Eagles and officially retired earlier this year. During his 13-season Eagles tenure, he also joined a group of his teaMMAtes for a series of charity music albums titled A Philly Christmas Special.
“They sing along, they love them,” Kelce told Today in October 2023 of his three daughters’ reactions to the holiday anthems. “Wyatt, all last Christmas, she always kept asking me to hear ‘Santa Claus is Coming To Town.’ They’re all into it for sure.”
Jason and his wife, Kylie Kelce, share daughters Wyatt, 4, Ellie, 3, and Bennett, 20 months and announced on Friday, November 22, that they are expecting another baby.
“I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister,” Kylie, 32, joked via Instagram, sharing a photo of their daughters wearing matching “big sister” sweaters. “At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page! 🤷♀️.”
In the pic, Wyatt covered her ears while Bennett cried. Ellie, meanwhile, was the only Kelce daughter to smile for the camera.
Jason’s mother, Donna Kelce, reacted in the comments section, writing, “🔥🔥🔥🔥😍😍😍 Love it!!!”
