How much prize money did Maverick McNealy win at the 2024 RSM Classic

The 2024 PGA Tour season is officially over, with Maverick McNealy coming out on top in the 2024 RSM Classic, the final event at the Sea Island Golf Club on Saint Simons Island in Georgia.

McNealy, who went into the final round tied for the lead with Vince Whaley, shot a 2-under par 68 on Sunday to clinch the title by a shots from Daniel Berger, Luke Clanton and Nico Echavarria. The victory is the 29-year-old’s first as a professional.

Ludwig Aberg was the top ranked player in the field but was unable to repeat last year’s triumph, finishing in a tie for 17th place.

156 players comPeted for the substantial prize purse of $8 million. Aberg bagged a top prize of $1,512,000 in 2024 but that figure is actually slightly lower in 2024, with McNealy taking home $1,440,000.

When does the 2024 PGA Tour begin?

With the 2024 season now over, the majority of the world’s top stars will enjoy some time off over Christmas and New Year, with the 2025 PGA Tour officially beginning on January 5, 2025 with The Sentry, a Signature event which will be held the Plantation Course at the Kapalua Resort near Lahaina on the island of Maui in Hawaii.

The tour stays in Hawaii for the second event, the Sony Open, before heading over to the US mainland for three tournaments in California, the third of which is the prestigious AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, another Signature event.

Some PGA Tour stars will be action before then, however. Scottie Scheffler headlines the limited 20-player field at the Hero World Challenge (December 5-8) in the Bahamas, which is followed by two team events: the Grant Thornton Invitational (December 12-15) and the PNC Championship (December 19-22).
