Bryson DeChambeau ended day three at the U.S. Open at Pinehurst in North Carolina with a coMMAnding three-shot lead. His performance on Saturday saw him break away from a tightly contested leaderboard and the man who now plays on the LIV Golf tour is in a great position to add to his major titles.

Dechambeau’s U.S. Open triumph

The 30-year-old is aiming to secure his second major title, following his 2020 U.S. Open victory. That win at at Winged Foot in Mamaroneck, New York, impressively came just six weeks after he tied for fourth at the PGA Championships, which was his first top-10 finish in a major. That win in what was the 120th U.S. Open saw him start the final day two off the leader, but a three-under score on what was an incredibly challenging day – no other player ended it under par – secured an emotional first.

It’s worth noting that Dechambeau also has two FedEx Cup playoff wins and five other PGA Tour victories, the last coming in 2021 with the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
