Grizzlies at Bulls picks and predictions

Prediction

Grizzlies 126, Bulls 118

Moneyline

PASS.

This is a tight matchup against evenly-matched squads, but I think it comes down to fresh legs. I’ve got Memphis (-210) winning and covering, which is why I’ll take my bet to the spread.

Against the spread

BET MEMPHIS -5.5 (-110).

The Bulls delivered a strong performance Friday night against Atlanta, led by LaVine, who’s shooting an impressive 51.2% from the field and 43.2% from deep this season.

However, Memphis holds opponents under 45% shooting and enters Saturday’s game in Chicago rested after last playing Wednesday. The Grizzlies have covered 7 of their last 8 games, while Chicago has covered just 2 of its last 5.

With the Bulls allowing 122.9 points per game (2nd-most in NBA) and 48.7% shooting (2nd-highest), Memphis should take this one and limit LaVine’s impact.

Over/Under

BET OVER 241.5 (-110).

The Bulls have shifted gears this season, leading the NBA in pace after ranking 28th last year. While coach Billy Donovan’s faster approach has boosted offensive production, it hasn’t translated into consistent wins.

Memphis, ranked 10th in offensive rating, has gone Over in 4 of its last 5 games, while the Bulls have done so in 4 of 6. Expect a fast-paced matchup with plenty of scoring as both teams push the tempo.
