Cleveland Browns running back D’Onta Foreman suffers horror injury in traning camp. What do we know?

The Cleveland Browns and their fans will be pleased to know that the team’s running back is now in stable condition and is reportedly aware and alert after suffering a severe injury during training camp this week.

Browns’ D’Onta Foreman is doing better after head-on collision

On Thursday, the Cleveland Browns’ training camp was brought to an abrupt halt following a disturbing situation involving running back D’Onta Foreman who had to be was transported to a hospital via helicopter as a result. Indeed, various reports from Browns’ insiders indicated that the 28-year-old had to be immobilized after going down during the training session. Ultimately, Foreman was stretchered off the field and into an ambulance after which he was taken to a helipad and subsequently flown to a nearby hospital. Not long after, the Browns released a statement, explaining that Foreman had movement in all of his extremities.

“During practice today, Browns RB D’Onta Foreman sustained a direct blow to the head that resulted in neck pain,” the statement reads. “The Browns athletic training staff deployed their standard emergency action procedures to immobilize Foreman. He was taken to an ambulance and is being transported via helicopter to a Medical Center in Roanoke, VA to undergo further medical evaluation. Foreman had movement in all his extremities. Updates will be provided as more information is received.”

Needless to say, the situation has given yet another reminder to how dangerous the sport of Football can be. That said, the franchise and its fans can now take comfort in the fact that Foreman appears to be OK. The former Texax Longhorns standout signed with the Browns during this offseason following year with the Chicago Bears where he notched 425 yards and four touchdowns. Foreman has been somewhat of a journeyman in the league, spending time on the rosters of the Houston Texans, Tennessee Titans, and Carolina Panthers.
