Celtic USA Tour – What you need to know
Celtic is set for an exciting pre-season tour of the USA this summer, taking on some of the Premier League’s heavyweights. Fans can look forward to encounters against English Champions Manchester City and also Chelsea.
Celtic vs DC United
The tour kicks off with a match against D.C. United at Audi Field in Washington, D.C., on Saturday, 20th July 2024. The Game is set to begin at 12:30 AM UK time. This opener will provide a warm-up for the Bhoys before they face tougher opposition.
Celtic vs Man City
Next, Celtic will clash with Manchester City on Tuesday, 23rd July 2024, at the Kenyan Memorial Stadium in NC. The match starts at 12:00 AM UK time. This fixture is expected to be a true test of Celtic’s pre-season preparations, with City boasting a strong squad despite the absence of some key players.
Celtic vs Chelsea
The final match of the tour will see Celtic take on Chelsea at Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Indiana, on Saturday, 27th July 2024. Kick-off is at 9:00 PM UK time. This Game will wrap up the tour.
Celtic will have a nearly full-strength squad for the tour. Key players returning from international duty include Callum McGregor, Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, and James Forrest. However, Alistair Johnston and Cameron Carter-Vickers will join the squad later due to their extended international commitments.
