2024 ZOZO Championship
October 24, 2024 2:00 am EDT

This week, the PGA Tour presents golf fans with the 2024 ZOZO Championship. Let’s take a look at this week’s event from a Draftkings perspective.

Before I dive into my Draftkings player selections for this tournament let’s review the Golf course the field will play and the key player statistics that I think are the most vital to a Golfer’s success at this week’s 2024 ZOZO Championship.

Where will the 2024 ZOZO Championship be played?

The 2024 ZOZO Championship will be played at the Accordia Narashino Golf Club in Japan. This track is a par 70 that measures approximately 7,079 yards.

Who won the 2023 ZOZO Championship?

Collin Morikawa won the 2023 ZOZO Championship with a four round cumulative score of 14 under par.

Will the 2024 ZOZO Championship have a traditional cut after two rounds?

The 2024 ZOZO Championship is a limited field event with no cut. All 78 Golfers in the field will play in all four rounds.

ZOZO Championship Key Player Statistics

  • Strokes Gained: Approach
  • Driving Accuracy
  • GIR (greens in regulation)
  • Strokes Gained: Tee to Green
  • Bogey Avoidance
  • Birdie or Better Percentage
  • Strokes Gained: Par Fours

I wanted to emphasize that the purpose of this article is not to provide an exact DFS lineup.

Having stated that, this article will provide multiple player options in an effort to assist the reader in generating a unique lineup that will hopefully have the potential to win a DraftKings GPP (guaranteed prize pool) contest!

2024 ZOZO Championship Draftkings Picks

Beau Hossler $8,900

Beau Hossler arrives at this week’s event on the heels of three consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including an impressive second place result at the 2024 Sanderson Farms Championship three weeks ago.

Beau Hossler certainly checks the box for me when it comes to key player statistics. In relation to this week’s 2024 ZOZO Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Hossler ranks sixth in GIR (greens in regulation), 19th in strokes gained tee to green, second in birdie or better percentage, tenth in bogey avoidance, ninth in strokes gained around the green, 14th in strokes gained putting, and fourth in total Draftkings points scored.

Hossler has posted a quality finish at the Accordia Narashino Golf Club in the past. More specifically, Beau Hossler finished second at the 2023 ZOZO Championship.

Harry Hall $8,000

The talented Englishman has compiled six top 24 finishes in his last nine tournaments played on the PGA Tour, including a win at the 2024 ISCO Championship in July.

In relation to this week’s 2024 ZOZO Championship field, in the last 24 rounds played on the PGA Tour, Harry Hall ranks first in birdie or better percentage, first in total Draftkings points scored, ninth in strokes gained approach, fourth in strokes gained putting, and first in strokes gained around the green.

Similar to Beau Hossler, Harry Hall has played well at this week’s event previously. Hall finished 21st at the 2023 ZOZO Championship.

Rickie Fowler $7,600

Rickie Fowler has accumulated two consecutive top 23 finishes on the PGA Tour, including a 23rd place result at last week’s 2024 Shriners Children’s Open.

Due to Rickie Fowler’s quality finish at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open I decided to take a hard look at the relevant player statistics for the tournament to see how Fowler fared relative to the field.

Upon the completion of four rounds of comPetitive play at the 2024 Shriners Children’s Open, in relation to the field, Rickie Fowler ranked sixth in driving accuracy (67.9%), 16th in strokes gained tee to green (1.087), eighth in strokes gained off the tee (1.526), 16th in strokes gained approach (0.808), and 11th in GIR (greens in regulation-80.6%).

Additional Golfers I like to perform well this week (Draftkings price noted): Kurt Kitayama $9,200: Collin Morikawa $10,500: Gary Woodland $7,800: Kyoung-Hoon Lee $7,100: Mark Hubbard $7,100.
