Former Celtic striker and Sky Sports pundit Chris Sutton reacted to the Hoops’ 4-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle, which now sees Celtic 3 points clear of Aberdeen and incredibly 11 points clear of third-placed Rangers.

With Kyogo Furuhashi, Nicolas Kuhn, and Adam Idah all netting in the second half, Sutton made sure to praise each for their contributions in the second half.

A brace off the bench will certainly help Idah, who hasn’t been at his best so far this season, mainly due to his incredible performances in the second half of last season.

Sutton also made sure to poke fun at both Aberdeen and Rangers, with the Dons dropping 3 points this afternoon after a 2-1 defeat against St Mirren in Paisley, and Rangers drawing 1-1 against Dundee United at Ibrox.

Celtic’s lead at the top was increased on a great night for the Hoops.

Given the Hoops’ incredible start to the season, Aberdeen’s impressive run of form was bound to run out of steam eventually.

However, with Rangers now 11 points behind Celtic, the Hoops’ sensational start to the season still isn’t getting enough credit.

With the Ibrox side on the verge of crisis, Celtic are playing as well and as consistently as recent memory suggests, in what has been a sensational period for Brendan Rodgers in charge.
