Abhishek Bachchan talks about fatherhood after missing daughter Aaradhya's birthday | The Express Tribune

In a special episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati, actor Abhishek Bachchan joined his father, Amitabh Bachchan, and director Shoojit Sircar to promote their upcoming film I Want To Talk.

During the conversation, Abhishek shared touching insights into his life as a "girl dad" and his bond with his 13-year-old daughter, Aaradhya Bachchan.

Recently Aishwarya Rai celebrated her daughter Aaradhya's 13th birthday with heartfelt tributes, which coincided with the anniversary of her late father. However, the absence of her husband, Abhishek Bachchan, during the celebrations sparked rumours about their relationship.

Abhishek, reflecting on his fatherhood, mentioned how deeply he connected with his character in I Want To Talk, where he portrays a man, Arjun Sen, who is given just 100 days to live. “What resonated with me most was Arjun's promise to his daughter. Despite everything he was going through, he assured her he would fight to be there for her, to dance at her wedding. That unwavering commitment as a father is beyond words,” said Abhishek.

He also touched upon the shared experience of fatherhood with his father, Amitabh, and director Shoojit Sircar. “This really touched my heart. Shweta Di is your (Amitabh Bachchan) daughter, so you understand this emotion. Aaradhya is my daughter, and Shoojit da has two daughters. We are all 'girl dads,' and we truly understand that emotion," Abhishek added.

Earlier Amitabh Bachchan addressed ongoing rumours about his son Abhishek Bachchan and daughter-in-law Aishwarya Rai’s marriage in a cryptic blog post. He criticised the spread of unverified information, stating that such speculation causes harm without verification. The 82-year-old actor emphasized his commitment to keeping family matters private and maintaining their dignity.

Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's marriage has been the subject of speculation, fueled by their separate arrivals at Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding and Abhishek’s social media activity, including liking a post about "grey divorces."

Despite ongoing rumours, neither of them has confirmed or denied any issues in their relationship. Additionally, Abhishek's bond with Nimrat Kaur, his co-star in Dasvi, has sparked curiosity, with the two sharing noticeable chemistry during promotions.
