Disney's Infamous Gooey Minnie Mouse Ears Are Coming To Dreamlight Valley

Disney revealed how it will mark its 100th anniversary last September, unveiling a range of platinum-covered memorabilia that looked a little suspect. So suspect that the items were temporarily removed from its online store. Clearly, Disney didn't deem the offending Minnie Mouse ears problematic enough to forget about them forever as they've now been added to Dreamlight Valley.

“Scrooge McDuck got a big shipment this update including the #Disney100 inspired Melting Platinum Minnie Ears,” a tweet from the Game's Twitter account reads. You can use the code “CENTENNIAL” to claim your own free pair along with some complimentary iron ingots. Something players who already paid for the ears aren't too pleased about.

That's not the overriding issue here, though. In a social media moment that has made me feel like I'm reliving the reveal of the physical Minnie ears, people have been pointing out yet again that they look like, and as I said in the original report last year there's no easy way to put this, they're covered in cum.

As soon as that detail was pointed out, the item was removed from the Disney Store. What I didn't realize is that they were made available again shortly after and you can still buy them now if you have £157 burning a hole in your pocket, and if you want everyone who sees you in them to assume you're on your way back from some sort of bizarre Disney-themed orgy.

The item was presumably only removed so the description could be changed as it no longer reads “Minnie is dripping with excitement”. No, really, that's what Disney originally went with. Adding them to Dreamlight Valley might actually be a stroke of genius as not only will people who don't have dirty minds and actually like them snap up a pair when they realize you can own them for real, but those of us who do think they look disgusting will claim our free virtual pair so we can laugh at them in-Game without having to spend all that money and risk someone finding them hidden in a draw.
