Brendan Rodgers has his team playing some effective, attractive stuff at the start of the new campaign. He will have taken a lot from Sunday’s match, and will already be looking forward to the return of action after the international break.

Indeed, after the Celts return from playing for their countries, they have some exciting match-ups in store.

Their first Game back is against Hearts at Celtic Park. The Jambos come to Glasgow having not won all season.

Victory for Celtic a week on Saturday will see them go eight points clear of Rangers before they visit Tannadice on the Sunday.

The Wednesday following the Hearts game Celtic kick off their Champions League campaign.

Slovakian champions Slovan Bratislava visit Glasgow’s east end for a mouthwatering matchday one clash Rodgers will be aiming to take three points from.

After the Bratislava Game in Europe, Celtic then turn their attention to the Scottish League Cup.

Championship outfit Falkirk, who haven’t lost a league Game since May 2023, make the trip through to Glasgow as the Hoops aim to make it to Hampden for the first time this season.

In short, in their next three Games, Celtic can make progress in three different comPetitions.

Against Hearts, they can strengthen their position at the top of the league while the Slovan Bratislava game provides the ideal opportunity to get off to the perfect start in Europe.

Finally, Falkirk’s visit to Parkhead allows Rodgers’ side to make inroads to a trophy they disappointingly missed out on last term.

It is set to be an exciting few weeks when the Bhoys return to action.
