Watch: Brilliant Jeremie Frimpong Interview Goes Viral After He Wins Bundesliga

In any walk of life, it is pleasing to see one of your own succeed. The same logic can be applied to Celtic fans and the current pride they have in Jeremie Frimpong.

The vivacious young right-back came to Glasgow from Man City barely an adult and immediately impressed.

He was given an initial opportunity under Neil Lennon and quickly emerged as a favourite among the supporters through his entertaining yet effective style of play and infectious persona.

Frimpong won a treble with Celtic before departing for Bayer Leverkusen in 2021. In Germany with Die Werkself, he has just won the Bundesliga.

It was a historical moment for the club on Sunday as they secured their first German title with five Games to spare.

The 23-year-old has been a key figure in their prosperous campaign in which they have yet to lose a Game in all comPetitions.

Yesterday, he was interviewed after a 5-0 win over Werder Bremen which secured the league championship.

Frimpong was upbeat as ever, praising his manager Xabi Alonso but more noticeably, leaning on journalist Archie Rhind-Tutt’s shoulder and complimenting his pink jacket:

From his time at Celtic, the full-back hasn’t changed one bit. His Footballing abilities have undoubtedly improved but as a person, he remains the same energetic, loveable character.
