Incredible Celtic Top-six Stat
With five league Games to go, Celtic’s title destiny remains in their hands. The Hoops know they simply need to win their remaining league matches and they’ll be champions.
Their final five matches have yet to be confirmed by the SPFL, but the Bhoys know they will take on every opposition top-six team once.
What is incredible about the sides that have finished in the top half of the table after 33 Games this season is that they have all won the Scottish Championship in the last eight years except Celtic.
Dundee, Kilmarnock, Hearts, St. Mirren, and Rangers have all finished first in Scotland’s second tier in recent years, but the Hoops have reigned supreme in the top flight.
While this finding may suggest that this campaign’s top six is not of an optimum standard, each team has more than earned the right to be there.
Hearts, along with Kilmarnock, have beaten Celtic twice this season and while the Bhoys have been victorious each time they’ve faced St. Mirren and Dundee in 2023/24, both sides have had incredible campaigns so far.
Each Game for Brendan Rodgers’ side after the split will be arduous in its own right but the gauntlet has been set down.
