The Utah Jazz (31-50) and Golden State Warriors (45-36) wrap up their regular seasons at Chase Center Sunday. Tip-off is set for 3:30 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Jazz vs. Warriors odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions.

Season series: Warriors lead 3-0

Golden State, which was favored by 4 points, lost 114-109 to the New Orleans Pelicans in San Francisco Friday as the total (223) pushed.

The Warriors are in 10th place in the West and have the same record as the Sacramento Kings, who are in 9th and lead the head-to-head tiebreaker via division record.

The most likely scenario will be the Warriors in the 9 seed with a win over Utah, after the Kings (-2000 at BetMGM Sportsbook) beat the Portland Trail Blazers Sunday afternoon and the Los Angeles Lakers (+125) lose at the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Jazz are coming off a cover as 15.5-point underdogs in a 110-109 win over the LA Clippers Friday with the Under (224) cashing in Southern California.

The Warriors are 2-1 against the spread (ATS) vs. the Jazz this season, and the Over has also gone 2-1. In their most recent meeting (last Sunday), Utah covered as a 13-point road underdog in a 118-110 Warriors win as the Over (225.5) hit.

Jazz at Warriors picks and predictions

Prediction

Warriors 114, Jazz 107

Moneyline

The Warriors (-350) are too expensive to take as ML favorites, especially against this Jazz (+260) team that is coming off back-to-back wins as a double-digit underdog.

PASS. Bet the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

The Jazz have been printing money for bettors over their last 2 games. While I don’t believe they have a 3rd straight upset in them, taking the points with the Jazz, who are looking to end their season on somewhat of a high note, is definitely the better side.

The Warriors would like to win this game, but it really wouldn’t change much. The worst-case scenario for Golden State would be for it to land in the 10 seed and have to travel for a play-in game against the Lakers, a scenario that likely doesn’t scare the Warriors.

Golden State should win, but 8.5 is too high of a number.

BET JAZZ +8.5 (-115).

Over/Under

Golden State is averaging just 104.5 points over its last 2 games, and while that may be small sample size, I believe it’s a sign that the Warriors are conserving energy for what should be an exhausting play-in tournament.

The Jazz scored just 110 points last time out against the Clippers, who are a middle-of-the-pack team defensively (16th in defensive efficiency). Against this Warriors team that is slightly better on the defensive end (14th), I don’t necessarily expect Utah to come out and light up the scoreboard.

BET UNDER 222.5 (-105).
