Taylor Swift found a new way to subtly pay tribute to boyfriend Travis Kelce during her performance of “Midnight Rain” at the Eras tour. During her Saturday, October 26, show in New Orleans, Louisiana, the pop star made another Football reference in honor of the Kansas City Chiefs tight end.

After singing, “And he never thinks of me, except when I’m on TV,” Taylor, 34, moved the microphone away from her mouth and mouthed, “Touchdown!” while holding her hands up in a makeshift goal post position.

One night prior, during another New Orleans concert, Taylor pretended to throw a Football during this portion of the show. She’d previously been doing Travis’ signature “archer” pose at various past concerts.

Since the tour’s European leg began in May, Taylor has also been honoring Travis, 35, with the addition of her song “So High School” to the Eras tour setlist. The song was written about the pair’s romance and Taylor’s dancers all mimic some of Travis’ touchdown celebration dances during the performance.

Plus, at all of the Eras tour shows that Travis has been able to attend in person, Taylor made a much more direct reference to her man during the song “Karma” by changing one of the lyrics to sing, “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs, coming straight home to me.” She also made the lyric change at the October 20 concert in Miami after the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in a Game earlier that day.

On Sunday, October 27, Taylor will play her third and final show in New Orleans, while the Chiefs will take on the Los Angeles Raiders in California. The tour then picks up next weekend in Indianapolis, followed by two weekends in Toronto, one weekend off, and then the closing weekend in Vancouver.

Prior to the beginning of the tour’s final leg on October 18, Taylor had two months off, which she mostly spent with Travis. The A-list couple spent a lot of time in New York City, attending a wedding, the US Open and a New York Yankees playoff game while in the Big Apple. They were also photographed on multiple date nights, including one dinner with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

Blake, 37, and Ryan, 48, made an appearance at the first New Orleans show and were seen rocking out to Taylor’s biggest hits in the crowd. They previously took their three daughters to one of the shows in Spain over the summer, while Blake and her two eldest girls were at one of the Philadelphia concerts in 2023.

Taylor recently revealed that she is the godmother of Blake and Ryan’s kids – they also have one son – while celebrating the actor’s film Deadpool & Wolverine in an Instagram post. “Shout out to Wade Wilson,” she wrote, referencing Ryan’s character in the film. “aka my godkids’ sperm donor!”

The “Blank Space” singer has been friends with the couple for years and also used the names of their daughters – James, Inez and Betty – as characters for songs on her 2020 album Folklore.
