The couple are hometown lovers who attended Linden High School in Linden, California. After turning their tassels in 2010, Aaron and Samantha traveled a short distance to attend Fresno State University.

They both focused on sports in their own realms while furthering their education at Fresno State. While Aaron had all eyes on him on the baseball field, Samantha was a dedicated pupil, who later earned her degree in kinesiology. She continued her education at the college and was awarded the Outstanding Master’s Degree Project by the dean for her project “Posterior Elbow Angle During the Movement Phase of Throwing in Relation to the Susceptibility of UCL Injury in Major League Baseball Players.”

Aaron was drafted by the Yankees in 2013 after his incredible junior year, leading him to put his degree on hold and break records in the MLB.

Given that they keep their relationship out of the spotlight, it’s unclear the exact date that Aaron and Samantha officially got together. That said, Samantha made her debut on Aaron’s Instagram page in 2014. The two took selfies with Aaron’s parents, Patty and Wayne Judge, after the foursome completed a 5k run on Thanksgiving.

The California natives tied the knot in an intimate outdoor ceremony at the Montage Kapalua Bay Hotel in Maui in 2021. Neither Aaron nor Samantha announced their marriage, however, Daily Mail shared photos of the moment after they said “I Do.”

Aaron wore a classic black tux, while Samantha wore a modest wedding dress and a thin veil.

Aaron gave fans a rare glimpse into their marriage in 2024 when he revealed that Samantha helped him build the courage to decide which team to play for during his contract renewal in 2022.

“It’s funny. I was in California. Sam and I were headed to Hawaii to celebrate our [wedding] anniversary. We had a flight at 8 a.m., so 2 o’clock in the morning, 3 o’clock, we’re just staying up … we’re going back and forth about different offers from different teams,” Aaron explained during an interview on the “Casa De Klub” podcast. “‘What do you want to do?’ And I’m telling her, ‘I want to stay in New York. I don’t want to go anywhere else.’”

Aaron called team owner Hal Steinbrenner and shared how much he loved the Yankees and wanted to continue his career with the organization.

“And he’s like, ‘That’s it?’ and I’m like, ‘Yeah’ — and he’s like, ‘Alright, sounds good,’” Aaron later added. “And then all of sudden he’s like, ‘Oh by the way, we’re also going to make you the next Yankees captain.’”

Aaron signed a nine-year contract with the Yankees for $360 million.
