Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Spotted in Matching Looks at Taylor Swift’s Show in New Orleans

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds enjoyed a kid-free date night in New Orleans as they took in night one of Taylor Swift’s performance.

Blake, 37, has been one of Taylor’s closest friends for years, and she and hubby Ryan, 48, have supported the “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” singer at her concerts a few times. In one video captured by a fan, the couple was spotted getting cozy in the VIP section at Caesars Superdome on Friday, October 25, as they swayed back and forth to “My Tears Ricochet.”

The Gossip Girl alum and Ryan sported matching looks as they both were all white. Ryan opted for a short-sleeved white shirt that he paired with dark pants while Blake wore a white vest and top.

Blake had a bit of a rough summer after rumors of an alleged feud with her It Ends With Us costar Justin Baldoni began to swirl. However, Taylor, 34, was there for her bestie as and shortly after the “Karma” artist returned to the States after the European leg of her Eras tour ended, Blake was spotted at Taylor’s Rhode Island mansion.

“Blake [was] trying to enjoy her birthday but she’s embarrassed by the Scandal surrounding her film and all the backlash at the insensitive way she handled certain interviews in the past,” a source exclusively told Life & Style on August 28. “She celebrated at Taylor Swift’s Rhode Island home which was super special and just what she needed. She really tried her best to let go of all the drama and have a good time.”

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants actress even turned to Taylor for advice as she weathered the storm.

“Even though Taylor [was] busy with her tour in London, she’s been solid as a rock for Blake,” a separate insider revealed. “She’s calling and texting all the time to cheer her up and remind her not to let all the negativity get her down, that it’s par for the course when you make a big impact. [Taylor]’s reminding Blake daily of all the people that love her and know the real her and telling her that’s what matters more than a bunch of strangers on the internet.”

The source continued, “It goes without saying that Blake really appreciates all the advice and support, it means the world to her and just proves that Taylor is the kind of friend that’s there through thick and thin. Having Taylor in her corner is so helpful because she’s actually been through her fair share of stressful situations in the public eye, so she knows firsthand what she’s talking about when she gives advice.”

Along with giving Blake advice, the Miss Americana star has been careful not to “minimize” Blake’s feelings.
