Stephen Curry Confirms Beef With Ex-Warriors Teammate Klay Thompson
Klay Thompson was unceremoniously booted from the Golden State Warriors this past offseason.
After it was made clear to him that the team that drafted him no longer wanted him, and that neither Stephen Curry nor Draymond Green would offer a defense of him, he agreed to join the Dallas Mavericks.
In the aftermath both Curry and Green seemed to suggest that they were happy that Thompson left.
Thompson subsequently confirmed that he didn’t like that very much.

A few days ago the Warriors and Mavericks squared off – and that put a direct magnifying glass on the current relationship between Thompson and his old teaMMAtes.
That is when everyone realized how bad things had gotten.
This week, on his podcast, Green confirmed that there was some bad blood between Curry and Thompson now.
“Steph was supposed to speak before the Game,” Green revealed.

“He was like, ‘Yeah, I called Raymond (Ridder, Warriors’ VP of communications) and told him I’m not speaking. I just need to lock in on the Game so I ain’t even speaking. And I talked to Klay about it.’ Tried to check in with Klay on something else and Klay ghosted him. So he got pissed, and here we go.”
Obviously Thompson is salty about how things transpired during his final day with Golden State. And understandably so.
That said, the Warriors did pay him a lot of money after he got injured – something they didn’t have to do.
At some point Curry and Thompson will likely bury the hatchet, but that point definitely hasn’t come yet.
