The retirement of Joe Hart at Celtic has hit the fans really hard.

The amount of emotion that was on show for Hart on Trophy Day at Celtic Park sparked incredible scenes that have never been seen since Henrik Larsson retired.

It was then replicated at full-time on Saturday at Hampden when Celtic beat Rangers to lift the Scottish Cup as Hart bowed out with another winners medal to his name.

So there is no doubt that he will be a huge loss to the Celtic support and one that will take a bit of time to get over.

But what about his now former teaMMAtes? What do they think of Hart within the dressing room?

Scott Brown praises ‘humble’ Hart

Scott Brown was speaking about Celtic’s recent successes and how the likes of Callum McGregor and James Forrest have amassed so many winners medals.

And whilst Brown has no qualms that both players will get more in the near future, the former Celtic captain shared how the Hoops players really feel about their departing teammate.

Brown said [Daily Record], “He’s going to have a lot more [McGregor], don’t worry about that! I’ve got belief in that. Same with James as well, he’ll keep continuing and keep going.

“I don’t know how many [medals] they have got but they will keep going and keep going. Even for Joe Hart to come in and win trebles and doubles, it’s been an exciting part of his career as well to come up at his age.

“I speak to all the lads and there is not one person who says a bad word about him. He’s a very humble person. He could have come up to Celtic and shown he was a big-time player. But he has been in that dressing room day in, day out, working hard.

“We had the young lad Josh [Clarke] on loan from Celtic and Josh couldn’t speak highly enough of him either.”

Hart has always come across as a very likeable and down-to-earth person. And when you look at what he’s achieved in the Game, it’s little wonder his attitude makes him popular amongst his fellow professionals.

You could see the bond and respect Hart had for his teaMMAtes and how Callum McGregor really respected him every time they stepped onto the Parkhead turf.

Brendan Rodgers has a big job ahead of him to replace Hart and the Celtic boss can unearth a player with half of the Englishman’s talent and personality, he will have done a good job in finding a suitable goalkeeping heir.
