The Celtic fans are looking forward to the summer for a number of reasons this year.

The first is that they will get to see four of their heroes hopefully represent Scotland at the upcoming Euro 2024 comPetition in Germany.

Now that Anthony Ralston, James Forrest and Greg Taylor will be joining Celtic captain, Callum McGregor, on the plane, there is Healthy interest for the Hoops fans to engage in the national side’s attempt to get out of the group stages against the likes of Germany, Switzerland and Hungary.

However, the main reason the Celtic fans enjoy the summer is that the transfer window brings that natural excitement of which players the club will bring in to strengthen the side and who will be moved on who have not contributed to the team.

With several moves expected to be made, the next couple of months are sure to be busy for the fans as they wait in anticipation for Brendan Rodgers to make his summer moves.

Bosun Lawal’s two likely Celtic summer options

Bosun Lawal is a player who has really impressed last season whilst on loan at Fleetwood Town.

Making 46 appearances for the now League Two side, despite suffering relegation, the Celtic youngster was very popular with the Fleetwood fans.

So impressive where his performances last season, Lawal got an invite to train with the Republic of Ireland senior squad during the international break.

And after another impressive outing for the Irish u21s this week, the future of Lawal looks really bright. But it may not be at Celtic after this summer.

According to the Irish Independent, the young Celtic B defender is likely to land a loan move to a European club unless he can do what Liam Scales did last summer and impress Brendan Rodgers during pre-season training.

Lawal has made just one appearance for the Celtic senior side and that was in last season’s 5-0 Scottish Cup demolition of Morton.

The young Irishman only got three minutes off the bench in that match and has already shared an ambition to become part of Celtic’s first-team plans this season.

And who is to say he can’t be a part of the Celtic squad this season? Rodgers seemingly does not fancy Gustaf Lagerbielke and Maik Nawrocki as both struggled for Game time last season.

Not first team ready yet, Lawal could stake a claim as an option off the bench for the Celtic boss next.

And as we all know, Rodgers loves to develop young talent and Lawal could pose the next Celtic project for the Hoops boss.
