Report: Celtic Submit Luke McCowan Bid

Arne Engels and Auston Trusty are set to sign for Celtic tonight, but it appears the club won’t be satisfied with just two acquisitions before the 11pm transfer deadline.

Indeed, another midfielder could come through the door and according to the BBC, the Hoops have made a bid for Dundee’s Luke McCowan.

They say that nothing has been agreed upon yet, but that the Scottish champions are hopeful a deal can be done before tonight’s deadline.

Homegrown, McCowan would be a useful squad player in Brendan Rodgers’ side.

Captain of his team, the 26-year-old has been a standout at Dens Park for the past few seasons.

He has started this campaign on fire, too, scoring twice and assisting once in three league Games so far.

It remains to be seen how much Celtic’s bid for McCowan is, but one expects the Bhoys to have the financial prowess to pull a deal off, especially considering the player is into the last year of his contract.
