Officials Confirmed for Celtic’s Trip to Rugby Park
The officials have been confirmed for Celtic’s trip to face Kilmarnock at Rugby Park this Sunday.
After they deal with the small matter of a UEFA Champions League tie against RB Leipzig this evening, the Hoops Travel to Ayrshire, which hasn’t been a particularly happy hunting ground of late.
Indeed, Celts played three Games at Rugby Park last campaign, losing two and winning the other. Each loss was by one goal, but the sole victory secured the league title.
Derek McInnes’ side have been somewhat inconsistent this season; they beat Rangers a few weeks ago but have lost on the road to Ross County and Dundee since. Sandwiched in between the two defeats was an impressive 2-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle.
Returning to Rugby Park on Sunday at 3 pm, Killie will look to produce another shock result, this time against the Scottish Premiership champions.
The SFA today announced the match officials.
Nick Walsh will take charge of proceedings, with David McGeachie and Jonathan Bell running the lines. Don Robertson is on VAR, assisted by Andrew McWilliam.
For Celtic, the Game ends yet another hectic run of fixtures. The players and manager can look forward to a restful international break before things get up and running again with a trip to Tynecastle in just over a fortnight.
