Adam Idah met with the media on Thursday, speaking about his permanent move to Celtic after the club finally struck a deal with Norwich City. The Irish striker signed a five-year contract, committing his future to Parkhead.

In an interview with the press on Celtic’s official YouTube channel, Idah shared his excitement about joining the club and opened up about the worldwide pull of Celtic’s faNBAse. One of the most surprising experiences he had occurred this summer while on holiday in Los Angeles.

“The craziest one is I was in LA and there was a group of Celtic fans down on the boulevard,” Idah said with a smile. “I was a bit shocked with that, but anywhere I went there were Celtic fans. I think that’s the great thing about this club.”

Idah reflected on the global reach of Celtic supporters, noting how the club’s presence can be felt in every corner of the world. “You can go anywhere and there’s always someone there. There’s always that Irish bar in any place in the world. So, no, it’s an unbelievable support.”

The Irish forward was particularly surprised by the dedication of fans, even in unexpected places. “Eight o’clock in the morning and there’s Celtic fans everywhere. That was a bit of a shock to me. It was a bit of a new thing to get used to that kind of side of things because you haven’t really been identified like that in a place like that.”

Idah had a taste of what playing for the Hoops is all about. Now, with his permanent transfer confirmed, he’s eager for more, ready to embrace the challenges and the passionate support that comes with wearing the Celtic jersey.

Adam could go straight in for Celtic’s league cup tie against Hibernian on Sunday. The bhoys take on the Easter Road outfit for the second time in a row after beating them soundly 2-0 in Edinburgh.
