This week on In Touch, we speak with Toni Cesiro from Created With Love Boutique. Created With Love Boutique combines Toni’s two loves of being hands on creatively and rock and roll. Toni shares several of her incredible stories working for some of rock and rolls heaviest hitters to how she’s supporting local vendors and creatives here in the Hudson Valley.

The Kiwanis Club

Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. Kiwanis strives to be a positive iNFLuence in communities worldwide — so that one day, all children will wake up in communities that believe in them, nurture them and provide the support they need to thrive. If you haven't heard of the Kiwanis Club by name, you may have heard of these other sub-sects:

  • Circle K International is the world’s largest student-led service organization for college students. Now in 19 nations, this group is among the most passionate of Kiwanis-family members when it comes to service.
  • Aktion Club is the only service club for adults with disabilities. Members develop confidence and self-esteem by adopting leadership roles within their clubs. They also discover their own talents as they use them to help others.
  • Builders Club, designed for middle school students, encourages members to focus their passion and energy on serving others. They learn self-confidence and become tomorrow’s leaders through teamwork, goal-setting and action.
  • K-Kids is where elementary school students begin developing their hearts for service. This student-led service leadership program builds leadership skills and strong moral character while giving students an opportunity to participate in service projects.
  • Key Leader gives high school students an opportunity to experience the personal development, growth. During the three days at Key Leader weekends, students explore new ideas, accomplish exciting challenges and build enduring friendships. Key Leader is guided by these five principles: personal integrity, personal growth, respect, building community, and pursuit of excellence.
  • Bring Up Grades, or BUG, is a program designed to provide recognition to students who raise their grades to an acceptable range and maintain or continue to raise them from one grading period to the next. Recognition includes being placed on the school’s BUG Honor Roll; a pizza, ice cream or other food-themed party; and receiving certificates and buttons.
  • Terrific Kids is a student recognition program that promotes character development, self-esteem and perseverance. “Terrific” is an acronym for Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. Students work with their classroom teacher to establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance or school work.

This has been this week’s edition of IN TOUCH, the award-winning public affairs and issues program that runs across Townsquare Media of the Hudson Valley radio stations. We want to thank Toni Cesiro! For more on Created with Love Boutique, visit https://createdwithloveboutique.com/
