Did Kansas City Chiefs’ wide receiver Rashee Rice hit a photographer?
It may be that the Chiefs pass catcher has some issues when it comes to discipline. Regardless, what is now clear is that he is currently under investigation after allegedly hitting a photographer at a Dallas club. If that’s the case, it’s yet another blemish on an increasingly questionable track record.
Rashee Rice is in trouble once again
According to reports on Tuesday, Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice is currently under investigation following an incident in Dallas, Texas. As per reports, law enforcement officials have begun the process of interviewing witnesses regarding what exactly occurred. To be clear, Rice is currently facing a multi-Game suspension due to his involvement in a car crash that involved multiple vehicles. Indeed, the accident appears to have been the result of the 24-year-old’s participation in a street race, which in turn saw him and several other individuals fleeing the scene after the multi-car collision occurred.
Unbelievably, What followed was a manhunt that later saw Rice turning himself in to the police before finally being released on bond. The Chiefs’ player now faces eight charges in the case: six counts of collision involving bodily injury, one count of collision involving serious bodily injury, and one count of aggravated assault. It is understood that Rice was the driver of the vehicle that caused the six-car crash. An arrest warrant affidavit later confirmed the idea that Rice was Traveling at a speed of 119 mph when the accident occurred.
At this point, it remains unclear as to what comes next, but it goes without saying that Rice has done himself no favors. Where his onfield contribution is concerned, there can be no question that Rice was a critical part of the Chiefs’ march to a second consecutive Super Bowl title. Yet, when it comes to what he’s done off of the field, the picture is distinctly different. Regardless, what we know is that Rice and SMU’s cornerback, Theodore Knox are both being sued for $1 million by two victims who were involved in the accident that occurred on March 30th. Among the reasons cited in the lawsuit were “trauma to the brain, lacerations to the face requiring stitches, multiple contusions about the body, disfigurement, internal bleeding and other internal and external injuries that may only be fully revealed over the course of medical treatment.” As always, watch this space.
