The Dallas Cowboys suffered their fifth straight loss on Sunday at the hands of state rivals Houston Texans. The loss made their sixth straight at AT&T Stadium, dating back to last year’s Wild Card loss to the Green Bay Packers.

With their 34-10 loss to the Texans, the Cowboys extended on an NFL record they set last week, but it’s not one they’re proud of.

The NFL record the Cowboys set after loss to Texans

After their loss to the Texans, the Cowboys have trailed by at least 20 points in each of their past six home games, including the postseason loss to the Packers, which is a first in NFL history. Last week, their 34-6 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles made five home games in which they trailed by 20+ points, setting the record already, which they surpassed this week.

Let’s take a look at the final scores of those games in which Dallas trailed by 20 points or more:

  • 2023-24 Wild Card game: 48-32 loss to the Packers
  • 2024-25 Week 2: 44-19 loss to the Saints
  • 2024-25 Week 3: 28-25 loss to the Ravens
  • 2024-25 Week 6: 47-9 loss to the Lions
  • 2024-25 Week 10: 34-6 loss to the Eagles
  • 2024-25 Week 11: 34-10 loss to the Texans

This statistic is all the more shocking when you consider that before this run of six losses at AT&T Stadium, the Cowboys were on a 16-game winning streak at home from Week 2 of the 2022 season all the way through the entirety of the 2023 regular season.

As it stands, this year’s Cowboys team is at 3-7 and bound to miss the postseason, looking like they’ll get a top 10 pick in the draft next year.
