Speaking about the intensity of his role and prep work, he said, “I learned all different kinds of martial arts and regional dialects. But most of all, I worked out a lot.” He added that out of the four hours reserved for sleeping, he split it into two hours of rest and workout. “I’d sleep for two hours and hit the gym for the remaining two”. Remarkable, isn’t it?
While we don’t exactly know which specific kind of martial art Jung Hae-in performed, some of the most popular types include kung fu, karate, judo and jujitsu. In Netflix’s Deserter Pursuit (D.P), Jung Hae-in played an action-packed role for which the actor underwent three months of intense Boxing training. At the show’s press conference, Jung Hae-in mentioned that the director and martial arts trainer wanted the actors to perform the action scenes at once without any cuts. “The acting has to be very realistic,” he added.
A combat sport, Boxing has been in existence way before the time of ancient Greece and the original Olympics. The art teaches you intricate hand movements and footwork drills to evade punches.
