Celtic cemented their credentials as potential title victors following an excellent 3-0 victory over Heart of Midlothian yesterday.

On a day when Parkhead rocked from start to finish, Kyogo Furuhashi’s double and Matt O’Riley’s late penalty capped off a day of joyful scenes in Glasgow’s east end.

Post-match, Brendan Rodgers lauded the connection between his players and the home support as his side comfortably dispatched Steven Naismith’s outfit.

He stated: “It was very pleasing. There was a great energy in the stadium today and the supporters were brilliant for us. Right from the off, they got behind the team, and the players responded to that.”

Per Fotmob, Celtic retained 60% possession alongside taking on 17 shots to Hearts’ five; meanwhile, the Bhoys also created three ‘big chances’, which levelled out regarding the scoreline.

Undoubtedly, there was a level of pressure on Rodgers’ men heading into the Game, especially noting that their capital-based opposition had claimed six points in the previous three Scottish Premiership encounters between the pair.

Celtic release Unique Angle footage after Hearts victory

Earlier today, Celtic released their Unique Angle footage from what turned out to be a comprehensive victory over Hearts at Parkhead, with plenty of content for fans to sink their teeth into after a fruitful Saturday afternoon’s work.

Firstly, as seen above, Furuhashi’s opener was met with joyous acclaim from his teaMMAtes, who rushed over to embrace the Japan international in front of the standing section, illustrating a sense of unity among the group.

Reo Hatate can also be seen passionately whipping up the fans before his compatriot broke into his trademark celebration.

Following his second goal, Furuhashi and O’Riley shared a hug in the wake of their outstanding combination play that led to the former flashing past Zander Clark.

Meanwhile, the latter clearly enjoyed his spot-kick, leaving his onrushing teaMMAtes to charge towards the fans and jumping with his fist raised.

Amusingly, Greg Taylor appeared to poke fun at the penalty award for a handball by Lawrence Shankland, lifting both his hands in jest once Kevin Clancy returned his verdict and pointed to the spot.

Celtic were in their groove yesterday and will be desperate to finish the season in style over their next four matches, which could still yield a domestic double.
