Celtic’s Brilliant “Big pressure” Dig at Lawrence Shankland After Another Engels Penalty

Celtic got in a sly dig at Hearts’ Lawrence Shankland as they made History in the Champions League last night.

The Hoops stormed a dominant 5-1 victory over Slovan Bratislava, goals coming from all over the park as the Bhoys secured their biggest-ever victory in Europe’s premier club comPetition.

There were several top performers in Brendan Rodgers’ team, but Arne Engels particularly stood out.

The Belgian set up Liam Scales for the opener and got himself on the scoresheet with a cool penalty.

Engels remained composed as ever from 12 yards to dispatch his second spot-kick in the space of a few days.

At the weekend, the 21-year-old similarly converted against Hearts in the Scottish Premiership, blocking out some outside noise from opposition players in the process.

Indeed, Jambos central defender Craig Halkett could be heard shouting ‘£10m, aye right!’ to Engels before he scored. Similarly, Shankland exclaimed, ‘Big pressure, big pressure!’.

Although he cost a pretty penny, Engels already looks to have been a wise investment from the club.
