Celtic romped to a famous Champions League victory on Wednesday evening as they put Slovan Bratislava to the sword in a memorable 5-1 triumph.

Paradise was rocking from start to finish as the players put in a terrific performance.

Several bhoys caught the eye, with the likes of Nicolas Kuhn and Daizen Maeda remaining dangerous threats out wide throughout.

Reo Hatate returned to form in the middle of the park, but two other Celts were adjudged to have stood out above the rest.

Indeed, duo Arne Engels and Liam Scales have been included in the latest Sofascore Team of the Week, taking up berths alongside the likes of Man City’s Josko Gvardiol, Joshua Kimmich of Bayern Munich, and four-goal hero Harry Kane:

Versus Slovan, the pair stood out. Scales was a rock at the back and opened the scoring in the first half.

In the middle of the park, Engels was equally impressive. The 21-year-old followed up on an eye-catching first start against Hearts at the weekend and was even better in Europe.

He set up Scales for his early header and remained composed as ever from the spot to put his side 3-0 up.

It remains to be seen whether the standout duo will keep their places in the team against Falkirk in the league cup this weekend, with manager Brendan Rodgers expected to make a fair few changes.
