The Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay Rays meet Sunday in MLB action from Tropicana Field. Here’s a Tampa Bay Rays vs Toronto Blue Jays prediction. This will be the final installment in a three-Game series. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Rays vs Blue Jays pick.

Toronto Blue Jays Betting Preview

In their last series, the Jays took on the Texas Rangers. Toronto lost the first pair in that set before a 4-0 win in the finale. After a 1-0 loss to Tampa Bay on Friday, in Game two the Blue Jays took a 3-2 loss. Starter Yariel Rodriguez finished with 4.0 innings and three earned runs.

As a starter for the finale, the Jays didn’t immediately announce a name.

Tampa Bay Rays Betting Preview

Over on the Rays’ side, they took on the Boston Red Sox in their last set. Tampa Bay lost Wednesday 2-1 but won the other two Games. On Saturday the Rays posted two runs in the third inning and never looked back. Taj Bradley managed 5.0 innings and one earned run as a starter.

Shane Baz will start for Tampa Bay on Sunday. This year Baz is 3-3 with a 3.21 ERA in 12 starts. Baz is 6-5 with a 3.51 ERA in 21 starts over his career.

Tampa Bay Rays vs Toronto Blue Jays Prediction

I’m probably leaning toward the Rays. Baz should be pretty good here. He’s on a solid run lately, despite going a tepid 1-1 in his last three starts. In that trio Baz has given up five earned runs in 18.1 total frames.

On Saturday the Rays were out-hit 9-7 but utilized a couple of big innings to get the victory. Vladimir Guerrero notched three hits, while Spencer Horwitz logged two hits with an RBI and a run. I like Tampa Bay to keep it up on Sunday.
