The new Celtic kit launch was perfectly timed by the club yesterday.

On the crest of a wave of positivity surrounding the club after the Scottish Cup final win over Rangers, Celtic announced the pre-order launch of the new 2024/25 home kit.

Gone is the controversial Hoops design of this season’s kit as Adidas return to the traditional green and white Hoops.

The sleek new design was labelled as ‘timeless’ by Adidas and, I have to say, I really like it. Simple, effective and it looks so much better than the current offering by the giant sportswear company.

However, the only thing that really matters is what the Celtic fans think about it. And after the mixed reaction to last season’s launch, the Celtic supporters’ message to the club is crystal clear.

Celtic fans are delighted with the return of the original Hoops

As I said before, the current design received a very mixed response when it was launched last season. In fact, I would go as far as to say that it was deeply unpopular with the majority of the fans.

However, this time, it seems that the message is universal as the Celtic support laud the return to the iconic Hoops design:

And one had a different message for the Celtic board about the new kit:

I think many of us can get on board with that view! With Celtic reportedly looking to back Brendan Rodgers in his pursuit of Adam Idah, hopefully, this Celtic fans’ wish, along with thousands of others, will come true this summer.

With the new strip set to officially hit the Celtic Store and JD Sports on the high street on the 11th of June, priced at £70 for adults and £55 for juniors, the new Celtic top looks set to bank the club many more millions of pounds heading into the new season. [Celtic FC]
