Celtic couldn’t resist a cheeky dig at Rangers after their 4-1 victory over Hearts at Tynecastle stretched their lead over their Glasgow rivals to a commanding 11 points in the Scottish Premiership.

While Rangers dropped points yet again, drawing 1-1 at home to Dundee United, Celtic took full advantage to pull clear at the top of the table.

The Hoops’ social media team joined in on the fun, cleverly arranging a post about Kyogo Furuhashi’s prolific goal-scoring record to subtly highlight the gap between the two sides. The post read: “Kyogo scored his 80th Celtic goal tonight – 11 of which have been against Hearts!”

The placement of “- 11” caught the eye of fans, who praised the admin for their witty nod to the 11-point advantage over Rangers.

With Aberdeen’s loss to St Mirren it saw them fall to three points behind Celtic in second place, the Hoops are firmly in control of the league after 12 matches played. Rangers, meanwhile, remain in third, struggling to find consistency, dropping points for the fifth time this season.

Celtic’s form, both on and off the pitch, has fans brimming with confidence as they aim to maintain their dominance and keep the patter flowing in the weeks ahead.

However, league action will be paused until after Wednesday. The Hoops return to Champions League Football with Club Brugge in store this week.
