This will be one of Tatum’s most challenging matchups this season. This Cavs team has thrived off their elite defense. I expect them to put a lot of attention on Tatum and force other guys to beat them. To add to that if the Celtics want to win this game Tatum will need to spread the ball to the other weapons on this Celtics team. If this game is a one-man show for the Celtics it won’t be pretty for them.

Jarrett Allen Over 10.5 Rebounds

Jarrett Allen has been solid on the boards during the 2024-25 NBA season, averaging 10.9 rebounds per game through 15 games. His rebounding performance includes 5.7 offensive rebounds and 8.7 defensive rebounds per game, highlighting his significant presence on both ends of the court. If you’ve been betting the over on Allen’s rebounds this season you’ve been making money. When we see Allen have cold rebounding nights it’s because the team is up so much late in the game he doesn’t get enough minutes. But when he gets a normal amount of minutes he has no problem getting double-digit rebounds. He’ll be matched up with an older Al Horford which should be a favorable matchup for him to clean up on the glass. 

Derrick White Under 3.5 Three Pointers

Derrick White has been strong from beyond the arc during the 2024-25 NBA season but this line is high for him for this matchup. White is averaging 3.8 three-pointers made per Game this season. He’s taking 9.2 three-point attempts per Game, maintaining a high volume in Boston’s offense. White is converting 42.0% of his attempts. Over the first 13 Games, he has had notable performances like 7 threes against Golden State (43.8%) and Atlanta (58.3%) but has also had Games with lower efficiency.

In his last 4 Games, we’ve seen that he’s only cleared this line of 3.5 once. Those Games were also against the worst defenses including the Nets, Raptors, and Bucks. This Cleveland team doesn’t make it easy on shooters which is a reason why they’ve been so successful this season. Derrick White will be utilized on Tuesday but I don’t see him making 4 threes against this defense.
