The Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Oklahoma State Cowboys meet Saturday in college Football action from Boone Pickens Stadium. Here’s an Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech prediction. We will look at this from a betting perspective and determine the best Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech pick.

Texas Tech Red Raiders Betting Preview

The Red Raiders went a nice 5-1 to start the year. Those wins came versus Abilene Christian, North Texas, Arizona State, Cincinnati and Arizona. Since then it’s been a 1-3 stretch with a win over Iowa State among losses to Baylor, TCU and Colorado.

In the Colorado Game on November 9, Texas Tech had an early 13-0 lead. The Raiders were drilled 31-14 in the second half however, and lost 41-27. Behren Morton posted 275 pass yards with two scores and an interception. Tahj Brooks added 137 yards and a score on 31 totes.

Oklahoma State Cowboys Betting Preview

Over on the Oklahoma State side, they opened up the year with three straight wins. The Cowboys would hit the skids versus Utah, Kansas State, West Virginia, BYU, Baylor, Arizona State and TCU in the next seven outings, though.

In their Game versus the Horned Frogs, Oklahoma State took a 24-0 deficit into the second half. The Cowboys would eventually fall 38-13 in blowout fashion. Alan Bowman threw for 141 yards, one TD and a pick. De’Zhaun Stribling led the receivers on seven grabs for 101 yards and a TD.

Oklahoma State vs Texas Tech Prediction

I’m staying with the Raiders. Texas Tech did some good things against a pretty solid Colorado team in their last outing but couldn’t overcome their mistakes. The Red Raiders posted 388 total yards (113 rushing) and 25 first downs with 10-of-20 on third-down conversions. They’d also notch three turnovers and nine penalties, however. Defensively Texas Tech was great on third downs (2-of-13) but couldn’t generate any takeaways.

As for OK State, they looked pretty rough against TCU. The offense mustered 368 yards (233 passing) and 25 first downs but also had three turnovers. Defensively the Cowboys gave up 468 yards (293 passing) with 27 first downs. Texas Tech won’t have too many issues covering here if the Cowboys can’t bolster things on both sides.

Andrew's Free Pick: Texas Tech Red Raiders -4.5
