After performing at Sydney’s Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras festival, the musician, who goes by the stage name Beks, made a viral TikTok video sharing her thoughts on the public facilities.
“I don’t give a f*** who you identify as,” she said, “but if I have to go in another unisex toilet, I’m going to ... wear pads everywhere.
“Because guys do not know how to p*** in the bowl at the best of times.
“And for women, when we go to the toilet, it’s like having ... 1,000 useless boyfriends before us, p***ing all over the ... seat.
“If we’re going to have neutral, unisex toilets, men - you need to learn how to p*** in the ... bowl!”
Most people in the comments agreed with Beks’ scathing assessment of the shared facilities.
“I’m male and confirm this is true,” said one.
“Absolutely! Say it louder!” said another.
“I’m a fan of there being women’s rooms, unisex and men’s ‘cause, like, no one else deserves men’s BS,” a third wrote.
Others suggested it’s women who make the most mess.
“Omg the girls toilet is worse than the boys, I thought it would be cleaner... what the f*** do they do on those bowls?” one commented.
“I worked in a shopping centre after I left school. The state of the women’s toilet was always worse than the men’s,” said another.
“Hospitality worker here. Women’s toilets are far and away the most disgusting,” someone said.
