Records: Bolanos (7-4-0) | Romious (9-2-0)
Bolanos is coming off a second-round KO/TKO loss against Marcus McGhee in mid-January, snapping a modest 2-bout win streak, including a first-round KO/TKO win against Daniel Carey in his Bellator finale.
Romious will be making his UFC company debut after picking up a unanimous-decision victory over Michael Imperato in Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 8, Week 2 in late August. He has won 5 of his past 6 bouts across all comPetitions, with 4 submission victories. His specialty is the armbar, posting 3 wins via the method since March 24, 2023.
Bolanos heads into this bout with a 1-inch reach advantage over the southpaw, while holding a 3.88-to-3.04 significant strikes landed per minute advantage. Romious does a great job getting the job done on the mat, posting a 1.94 submission average in his career.

UFC Fight Night 247: Bolanos vs. Romious picks and predictions
Fight result (2-way line or moneyline)
Romious (-225) will cost you more than 2 times your potential return, and that’s a little too expensive for a standalone bet. In addition, this is a guy who is making his UFC company debut, so there is plenty of risk for that alone.
The southpaw has had a ton of success at the lower levels, and he is a machine on the canvas. If he is able to get Bolanos down to the ground and into a wrestling match, it isn’t going to end well for the Peruvian fighter. Let’s get specific and play ROMIOUS BY SUBMISSION (+150) on the 7-way line for method of victory.
Over/Under (O/U)
No (-250): Will the fight go the distance is a little too expensive, costing you 2½ times your potential return. That’s way too much risk for not enough reward.
Instead, OVER 1.5 ROUNDS (-150) is a strong play, as Bolanos should be able to hang around, again, as long as he doesn’t get down to the canvas quickly. However, I still expect in the second half of Round 2, or sometime in Round 3, Romious gets it done before the judges need to get involved.
