Despite his allegiance to Celtic, Gray is thrilled by the chance to experience the atmosphere, especially given the historical rivalry he has grown up watching.

“Especially watching Celtic and supporting them a little bit you always look for the Rangers Game,” he said, as quoted by the Scotsman.

“The chance to play at Ibrox is a special thing and I can’t wait for it.

“I have been to one (derby) and it wasn’t at Ibrox. They’re brilliant Games and I love them every single time. Even on TV they’re just as good to watch.”

Gray joined Spurs this season from Leeds United in a high-profile £30 million transfer and has quickly found his place in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

He made it no secret that he was a Celtic fan, saying he’d watched his new gaffer with the Hoops.

Under Postecoglou, Spurs have excelled in the Europa League, claiming wins in their opening three Games against Qarabag, Ferencvaros, and AZ Alkmaar, putting them in strong position to advance to the knockout stages. Meanwhile, Rangers have their own European test on the horizon as they head to Greece to face Olympiacos.

Gray’s upcoming appearance at Ibrox will not only be a memorable personal milestone but also a pivotal match for Spurs in their European journey.

Hopefully, Gray can secure a win in a venue that his manager enjoyed much success at during his time in Glasgow.

Ange Postecoglou almost always wins a trophy in his second season; at Celtic, it was three trophies, and the Europa League looks like a genuine opportunity for Spurs to lift some silverware.
