Chinese Taipei vs USA: Super Round game preview

Runners-up at the Premier12 in 2015, the USA are bidding to return to the championship final after finishing fourth at the tournament’s most recent edition, in 2019. However, the Americans began the four-team Super Round with a heavy defeat on Thursday, losing 9-1 to defending champions Japan, for whom Kaito Kozono racked up seven runs.

Chinese Taipei also kicked off the Super Round with defeat on Thursday, losing 2-0 to Venezuela.

In the round-robin Super Round, the top two finishers will qualify for Sunday’s championship final. The third and fourth-placed teams will vie for the final spot on the podium in the bronze-medal Game.
