A Look at the Dating History of Love Next Door Star Jung Hae-in
Jung Hae-in has sealed his position as one of the most talented actors in the South Korean Entertainment industry. His impressive versatility in portraying lovable characters from a perfect romantic lead in the newly released Love Next Door to the quiet soldier Ahn Jun Ho in D.P has earned him the badge of the gorgeous K-drama oppa among fans. But who is his dream girl? Let’s take a look at the dating History and relationships of Jung Hae-in, including his rumoured romances with BLACKPINK’s Jisoo, Son Ye-jin and more.
The lead of Love Next Door, Jung Hae-in has become the centre of all media attention and fans’ glare. Every envy-stricken fangirl of the actor wants to know about his love life, (and honestly, so do we). While like most K-drama stars, Hae-in is quite shy about his personal affairs, you know how eagle-eyed netizens always seem to churn some gossip about stars’ secret romances. Let’s look at all the meaty details of Jung Hae-in’s dating life.
Does Jung Hae-in currently have a girlfriend?
Jung Hae-in is believably single as neither the actor nor his agency have confirmed any relationship reports. In a conversation with Entertainment Weekly (via Koreaboo) back in 2019, the actor said he’s very much single and wants to date someone who’s kind and charming. Further divulging details about his ‘ideal type’, Hae-in added that he likes someone who can be honest with their own emotions.
“My ideal type is not someone who hides her feelings and says she’s okay. I want them to tell me if she hates something or if she likes something, and express her true feelings with courage,” the star told the outlet.
Well, let’s see if his former girlfriends checked the boxes or not.
Unravelling the dating history and relationships of Jung Hae-in
Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo
If you follow K-dramas, you know Jung Hae-in and BLACKPINK’s Jisoo as the iconic couple from Snowdrop. Looking at their characters, Im Soo Ho and Eun Young Cho’s impeccable chemistry on-screen, fans shipped the duo but nothing was confirmed by their respective agencies.
The rumours completely died down once Jisoo’s agency confirmed that the BLACKPINK songstress was dating actor Ahn Bo-hyun, who happens to be Jung Hae-in’s friend. Interestingly, Jung Hae-in also spoke about Jisoo and Bo-hyun’s relationship in an interview. According to Allkpop, he said that he had just come across the news on the front page of an Entertainment weekly and didn’t know anything first-hand. The actor added, “I hope that they will maintain a Healthy and beautiful relationship. I had no idea.” Jisoo and Ahn Bo-hyun parted ways a few months later.
Despite everything, Jisoo and Jung Hae-in continue to remain good friends. Recently, the actor even sent a special food truck to Jisoo on the sets of her upcoming K-drama Influenza as a gesture of support as she returned to acting. Now isn’t that adorable?
Jung Hae-in and Son Ye-jin
We know it’s impossible to imagine Son Ye-jin with anyone other than Hyun Bin. However, there was a time when she was linked with Jung Hae-in. The duo starred together in the hit show Something In The Rain, portraying characters in deeply complex and emotional relationships. The romantic tension between the stars was so realistic that people came up to them and straight up said “You’re dating, right,” without beating around the bush. Jung Hae-in said that people around him kept saying that he and Son Ye-jin should date and that they’ll support the couple.
According to Soompi, the actor added, “What we filmed was a drama and not a documentary. It was all fiction and lies.” Hae-in agreed that the co-stars got really close while filming, hoping they would remain in touch in the future.
Son Ye-jin is married to her Crash Landing On You co-star Hyun Bin. The duo also has a baby boy together.
Jung Hae-in and Kim Go-eun
Another K-drama, another relationship rumour. Romance rumours between Jung Hae-in and Kim Go-eun emerged on the sets of Goblin, led by Gong Yoo. The drama saw Jung Hae-in in a cameo role as a dreamboat older student that Eun’s character crushed on. Reportedly, their blazing chemistry even became an object of jealousy for the K-drama’s main lead. Despite all the media rumours, nothing was ever confirmed by the actors.
Jung Hae-in and Kim Go-eun further went on to star together in the 2019 movie Tune in for Love. Eun spoke about their reunion years later in an interview. She said, “Our time together in ‘Goblin’ was too quick, so I felt glad to see him after a long time.”
Jung Hae-in and Chae Soo-bin
To wrap up the dating history of Jung Hae-in, let’s talk about his alleged relationship with Chae Soo-bin. The actors were the lead duo of A Piece of Your Mind, from where all the dating rumours emanated. Unlike other rumoured relationships of Jung Hae-in, this one was only a figment of his fans’ imagination who simply thought that their electric on-screen chemistry meant something more on the outside. But with no official confirmation, these rumours died down quickly.
