Actor Salman Khan has begun shooting for his upcoming film Sikandar on schedule, despite recent death threats from gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

According to India media sources close to the production confirmed that Salman Khan commenced filming on Tuesday, October 22, with no delays in his work commitments.

High security measures have been put in place to ensure the actor’s safety. “Salman is fully committed to his projects. He has been filming Bigg Boss 18 under tight security and has now moved on to Sikandar without any disruptions,” said a source.

The source further added that Salman Khan is determined to avoid any delays, with plans to continue shooting until Diwali next week.

Sikandar, directed by AR Murugadoss and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, is one of the most anticipated films of 2025, featuring a star-studded cast including Rashmika Mandanna, Suniel Shetty, and Kajal Aggarwal.

The film is set for a grand release on Eid, March 30, 2025, following Salman Khan’s last big-screen appearance in Tiger 3, which was released during Diwali in 2023.

Recently the actor has added a new layer of protection with a Nissan Patrol SUV, imported from Dubai at an estimated cost of $240,000. The SUV boasts advanced safety features, including bulletproof armour, and is powered by a 5.6-litre V8 Petrol engine with a four-wheel-drive system.

This vehicle is now a critical part of Salman Khan's enhanced security measures as concerns over his safety continue to grow.

Earlier Salman Khan received a threatening message from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, demanding over $600,000 to settle their ongoing feud with the actor.

The warning was sent via WhatsApp, threatening that if the money is not paid, Salman Khan's fate will be worse than that of former Maharashtra minister Baba Siddiqui.

This is not the first time the Bollywood star has been targeted by the Bishnoi gang. In 2022, a threatening letter was found near his residence, and in March 2023, an email was allegedly sent by gang members.

In January 2024, security around Salman Khan was heightened after two unidentified individuals attempted to break into his farmhouse in Panvel using fake identities.
