‘RHOM’ star Todd Nepola celebrates estranged wife Alexia on Mother’s Day despite split
Todd Nepola still thinks highly of Alexia Nepola despite the estranged couple’s split.
Todd took to his Instagram Story Sunday to celebrate the “Real Housewives of Miami” star on Mother’s Day, even though the two do not have any children together.
“HAPPY MOTHERS [sic] DAY ❤️❤️,” the real estate broker wrote atop a photo of Alexia with her two sons, Peter and Frankie Rosello, whom she shares with her first husband, Pedro Rosello.
Todd, who has two kids of his own, set the post to the tune of “Superwoman” by Alicia Keys and tagged the Bravolebrity, who made sure to repost.
“She better not let him back in. 🙄,” one X user wrote beneath @queensofbravo’s screenshot of the upload, as another warned, “Don’t speak on mother ever Todd.”
But others were quick to point out that “people can divorce and still care about each other” because “relationships don’t always have to end badly.”
Someone else hypothesized that the Current Capital Real Estate Group founder was “prob[ably] just being nice.”
Todd, 51, filed for divorce last month after just two years of marriage, claiming that their union was “irretrievably broken.” The news took not only fans but also Alexia, 57, by surprise.
“I am shocked and heartbroken that Todd has chosen to dissolve our marriage,” she wrote via her Instagram Story at the time. “I will take comfort in the fact that my friends and family will be by my side supporting me during this difficult time.”
Shortly after, the Alexia + Frankie’s Beauty Bar owner broke down in tears while co-hosting her “Ay Por Favor” podcast with “RHOM” castmate Marysol Patton.
She admitted she felt “lost” and that she was “going back in [her] head like, ‘What happened?'”
Though Alexia said she views herself as a “positive person” and wants to remember “all the beautiful times” with Todd, including their “beautiful trips” together, she understands that “anger” is one of the stages of grief.
Amid the heartbreak, the self-proclaimed “Cuban Barbie” is leaning on her co-stars.
“That’s the beauty of our show — even though we say things to each other that we don’t like, at the end of the day, when I need them, they’re there,” Alexia said during her first pubic appearance since the separation.
“After my news broke out about two weeks ago, Larsa [Pippen] was one of the first ones to call me after Julia [Lemigova],” she added. “Everybody called me, texted me. They’re all there for me. They check up on me. Honestly, that’s what I love so much about our franchise.”
