Pregnant Draya Michele, 39, and Jalen Green, 22, celebrate baby shower ahead of daughter’s arrival

Draya Michele and Jalen Green are gearing up for their baby girl’s birth.

The couple celebrated their upcoming arrival with their family and friends at an epic baby shower on Sunday, in footage obtained by The Shade Room.

The pregnant “Basketball Wives” alum, 39, showed off her bump progress in a plunging red crop top and matching skirt over the weekend. She accessorized with stacked bracelets, her hair slicked back in a bun.

Her outfit followed the bash’s theme, as the sign welcoming guests featured cherries and maroon balloons.

Green, 22, similarly rocked red in a head-to-toe striped ensemble.

Although Michele revealed her pregnancy news in a March Instagram post that did not name the Houston Rockets player as the father, fellow NBA player Kyle Kuzma tagged Green in a telling comment.

“If anything can surpass the wonder of being a woman, it’s the privilege of bringing another woman into existence,” Michele captioned the maternity shoot snaps. “We are overjoyed to share our love for you, little girl. … Know you are being brought into a space of love, security, and adornment.”

The actress is already the mother of sons Kniko and Jru from previous relationships.

She and Green were subsequently met with backlash, including comments from Michele’s former co-star Mehgan James slamming their “wild” age gap.

While Michele did not directly address the controversy at the time, she reposted a meme via Instagram Stories about being “misunderstood.”

As for Green, he gushed about his “family” and “baby” motivating him during a courtside interview that same month.

The duo are facing a similar wave of negativity in the wake of their shower.

“He’s going to be a father and a big brother all at the same time,” one Instagram user wrote, while another joked, “I’m more mad at the fact that he’s dressed like he’s at a Valentine’s Day dorm party.”

A third, however, gushed, “It’s a wonderful thing to see a Man at Any age that celebrates and wants to be a part of his child’s life! Congratulations.”

It is unclear when Michele and Green started seeing each other, although dating rumors began surfacing last year.
