Angel Yin holds a two-shot lead ahead of the third round of the CME Group Tour Championship, the LPGA Tour’s season-ending event.

Yin overtakes An ahead of R3

On Friday at Tiburón Golf Club, Yin shot a three-under-par 69 to head into the weekend on 10 under, and in pole position to collect a record-breaking $4 million prize check.

The American is followed by the South Korean pair Hye-Jin Choi and Narin An, who both finished day two on eight under, after second-round scores of 68 and 72, respectively. An had topped the leaderboard after Thursday’s play in Naples, Florida, but the 28-year-old’s even-par round two allowed Yin to leapfrog her.

Behind the top three, world No. 1 Nelly Korda headlines a five-player chasing pack on six under.
