From a talented doctor with a troubled past to a driven journalist with a peculiar condition — acclaimed Kdrama actress Park Shin-hye has been there, played that. We take a look at a few of her most successful titles.
In 2001, a young Park Shin-hye starred in singer Lee Seung-hwan’s music videos. A few years of formal training at an agency and a theatre degree really propelled her career to new heights — seeing her go from starring in Stairway To Heaven (2003) as a young actress to becoming a global name with her first lead role in the Japanese-South Korean melodrama Tree Of Heaven (2006). Today, her filmography boasts the most diverse projects — romantic comedies, melodramas, action-fantasies, the works.
“When I act, I always am thinking about [the character’s] validity,” the actress was quoted saying by Korea Joongang Daily. She also noted, “As I grow older year by year, the range of emotions that I can express have been neatly piling up one by one.” Most recently, she’s been in the headlines for her role as a hardworking, straight A’s medical student in the enemies-to-lovers tale Doctor Slump. She will also step into the shoes of a judge possessed by a demon for The Judge from Hell. If you’ve yet to be acquainted with Park Shin-hye, here are a few of her top film and Kdrama titles.
