He finds himself comPeting against James Tavernier, Jack Butland, and Lawrence Shankland for the award. Notably, the winner of this award is chosen by their fellow professionals, adding an extra layer of prestige to this acknowledgement.

O’Riley’s season has been nothing short of spectacular, marked by his significant contribution of 14 goals and 16 assists across all comPetitions. He struggled to find the back of the net last season but has found it easy this term with the change of manager clearly benefiting the player.

He’s popped up in plenty of big moments for the Hoops this season, and if Celtic do go on to win the double, it’ll be largely down to his contributions.

His iNFLuence on the pitch has not gone unnoticed, drawing interest from high-profile clubs, including La Liga giants Atletico Madrid, who made a bid for him in January. Despite the attention, Celtic retained their star midfielder.
