New York’s Family Ski Mountain Hosts First-Ever Fall Fest

If you’ve only seen Mount Peter decked in winter white, wait until you see New York’s family mountain donning its fall colors. On Sunday, Oct. 13, 2024, the home of skiing, tubing and snowboarding will host its first-ever Fall Fest, with music, delicious foods, regional craft beverages, plenty of fun activities for the kids and live music at this family themed event. Parking is just $10 per car, so load up the family and friends and head to the mountain for a day of fantastic memories.

“We couldn’t wait for ski season to welcome guests to this mountain that is so special to us,” said Executive Manager Amy Sampson-Cutler. “Come breathe the crisp fall air and enjoy the best the Hudson Valley has to offer in Entertainment, food and locally made beverages.”

The lift that brings winter adventurers to the top of the mountain in the snowy months will carry visitors upward for more spectacular views of the stunning autumn scenery. Just $10 for adults, $5 for kids per ride. Chairlift rides will be FREE for pass holders for this coming 2024-2025 winter season. *Passes will be available for purchase during Fall Fest.

Festival goers will feast on crave-satisfying treats for every taste from Christopher’s Bistro Food TruckLa Blanquita Food Truck, Autumn’s Breads, Top DogsBunz on the Run, and Panda Palm Island. They’ll savor famed craft beverages from the Rushing Duck Brewing Company of Chester, Apex Brewery of Monroe, Pennings Cidery of Warwick, Clearview Vineyard and Winery of Warwick and Oceane Vineyard of Chester.

Pumpkin painting and a bounce house will keep the little ones entertained. Open air music will be provided by the country rock and blues of the Warwick-based band Nailed Shutt, devotees of the Grateful Dead and other jam grass bands. Chaos in the Kitchen and Parental Lock from The Rock Underground Music School of Greenwood Lake will be the openers for the main act. Vendors will offer great finds, including volumes from The Book and Nook of Warwick. Find more information about the festival here.
