New Bakehouse Soft Opens to Delightful Reviews in Gardiner
Though the doors aren't even officially opened for good (we haven't seen the photos with the big scissors cutting the ribbon yet) a brand new Gardiner establishment has left locals quite satisfied following their soft-opening taste-tests.
Gardiner Bakehouse Soft Opening
Last month, we received word about a new bakehouse that was preparing to open in Ulster County. The Gardiner Bakehouse (flour plus joy), has found a pretty perfect spot to call home, and by the sound of the many, MANY reviews that are starting to pop up on social media, have served up some made from scratch goods to satisfied customers already.
During the soft open, the Bakehouse launched some of the products you might taste in their storefront; customers were able to try out things like NYS pumpkin sourdough (yes, made with the locally grown pumpkin below), country sourdough, Japanese milk bread, focaccia, and even cookies.

Top Notch Reviews After Initial Tastes at Gardiner Bakehouse
In a Facebook post for Ulster County community members, comments like the following began coming in:
Their pumpkin sourdough bread is incredible and they had dulce de leche muffins which may be one of the best muffins I’ve ever had. Another great local Business to support!
Ohh. We missed the muffins but got the bread and some apple bourbon monkey bread.
We had the focaccia, and it was wonderful! Super friendly staff, too.
Though they haven't announced a formal grand opening date yet, following the success of their soft opening weekend the Bakehouse will be open Tuesdays from 3pm-6pm with country sourdough bread as well as other treats, and this Friday and Saturday, October 18 and 19, from 8:30 - 1:30 each day.
