World-renowned commentator Martin Tyler has been taken aback by Nicolas Kuhn’s performances over the past week and more.

The Celtic winger has been on fire lately, scoring in each of the Hoops’ last three matches.

Kuhn begged one and assisted another in the Premier Sports Cup semi-final against Aberdeen the weekend before last and put in a man-of-the-match performance versus RB Leipzig the following midweek.

Starting against his old academy side in the UEFA Champions League, the 24-year-old netted a brace to help Celtic to a memorable 3-1 victory.

Kuhn then continued his hot streak at the weekend, scoring on the break to give the Hoops some breathing face on a tough afternoon in Ayrshire against Kilmarnock.

Tyler initially discovered Kuhn when commentating on Celtic’s match against Leipzig last Tuesday.

Then, speaking on his podcast, ‘The Joy of Football’, yesterday, the 79-year-old was asked who his standout young player from the past week was: “Nicolas Kuhn”, he replied.

“Last week or so, he scored a fine goal in a demolition of Aberdeen.

“He turned the game around against Leipzig.

“He’s very left-footed; he’s very modern in the sense he’s left-footed, playing from the right. But he’s not a winger; he’s built like a midfield player.

“Then he scored a fabulous goal in the Premiership Game [vs Kilmarnock] at the weekend. For me, he’s doing it in all comPetitions.

“[He’s] special, very special.”

If Kuhn continues performing at his current level, more notable figures and clubs within the Game will sit up and take notice of his exploits.

Ten goals and 11 assists already this season is an incredible return for the German, given that we are only in November.

His pace, efficiency, and goalscoring ability have added a unique threat to Celtic’s Game this campaign.

Kuhn’s turnaround since May has been as unexpected as it is welcomed.
